The hinged lid easily flips up when you need to plug in your power, when not needed the lid flips back down for a nice clean look in your floor. The lid is conveniently attached to the housing so it can never get lost.

The outlet gets wired up with standard 12/2 or 14/2 wire, there is no junction box needed. The floor outlets are even daisy chainable if you are installing multiple units. The unit is easy to install in any wood, carpet, or tile floor. Start by cutting a 1.75" hole, then place the housing in the opening. The last step is to secure to the floor with the included wood screws.
